Dem Lawmakers Make NYC Crime-Laden Liberal Dystopia With New “Bail Reforms”
(Tea Party 247) – New York City is quickly being transformed into a real-life liberal dystopia akin to the fictitious crime-laden Gotham city. Thanks to genius new “bail reforms” and other criminal justice legislations, crime rates are sky-rocketing at unprecedented levels and the blame lays squarely with progressive New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his band of nit-wit Democrats in the state assembly.
A tweet made by the NYC PBA union posted Wednesday, included a chart of crimes in the city for the week of January 20-26 which showed a week to date comparison with 2019 that showed the alarming jumps in crime. “We haven’t seen crime numbers like this in a very long time,” the post said.

The American Mirror reports that the chart of crimes shows 157.1% spike in shooting incidents, 242.9% more shooting victims, a 58.8% increase in grand larceny auto, 37.2% more robberies, and a 50% jump in murders.
The American Mirror continues:
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea, the NYC PBA and others are placing the blame exactly where it belongs: so-called “bail reforms” created by Cuomo and Democrats that require immediate release of the vast majority of criminals without bail, a nod to “progressives” like de Blasio who argue the bail system punishes the poor.
The new bail laws prohibit judges from setting bail for all but the most violent offenders, regardless of the circumstances. They come amid de Blasio’s restructuring of the city’s jails, which includes the planned closure of the infamous Riker’s Island.
"Crime is notably up in New York City this year, and @NYPDShea is clear on the cause: It’s the new state “bail reform” laws."
"Let repeat offenders roam free — and you’re bound to see more crime."
"By Friday, overall incidents were up 11%…"https://t.co/ViKUMH2MNs

“If you let out individuals that commit a lot of crime, that’s precision policing in reverse,” Shea said, according to the New York Post. “We’re seeing the effects in a very quick time.”
The ridiculous consequences of the new laws are on full display.
In other areas of New York, law enforcement officials are raising alarm over new requirements in the reforms that task them with submitting evidence within 15 days.
Perhaps the most ridiculous aspect of this whole thing is that the criminals themselves are confused as to why they are being released. The New York Daily News reported on one shocking example of just how much of a failure this latest surge of progressive legislation truly is. One serial bank robber, Gerod Woodberry, was released without bail multiple times this month as he continued to rack up charges for six different bank robberies over the course of a 16 day period.
Woodberry himself told the New York Post, “I can’t believe they let me out,” then went on to say, “What were they thinking?”
It’s truly hard to know what brain-dead liberals like Andrew Cuomo and his state assembly minions are thinking.
New Yorkers should pay close attention: this is true endgame of the anti-police movement, an end of all policing & destruction of public order. New Yorkers took to Twitter to express their disgust and disbelief over the new laws:
Congratulations to andrew cuomo for outstanding legislation directly resulting in huge increases in virtually every crime category. Fredos drive to the californication of new york took a huge step forward.

Stunning numbers. Quite a dynamic duo is that mayor and governor…running the city and state right into the ground.

NY has effectively made crime pay. Between closing prisons and reducing the population for no good reason, these new laws making it impossible to hold criminals accountable and targeting the police for the tiniest of errors, they are making Escape from NY look like our future.Sad
